Our Wedding Suppliers

Whenever I get asked about wedding planning, I always say how much I enjoyed every part of it. There were a couple of pre-wedding freakouts but you really don't have to make it harder than it has to be. We decided not to get a full service wedding planner. This will be the first decision you have to make as a couple on the early stages of wedding planning. If you agreed to organize everything on your own, here's a dose of wedding wisdom: Learn to split up tasks. I work well under pressure, my husband can effectively communicate with suppliers. I love playing with design and ideas, my husband trusts my aesthetics. Heehee! We had a year of preparation but I suggest to start as soon as possible. Some wedding suppliers are already booked in advance so have your binder/folder/Excel file ready and start your research. Try not to get caught up in the stress! Remember that your wedding doesn't have to be perfect. There will be surprises and not everything has to be the good kind. The key is hiring reputable wedding suppliers that will carry out your vision. When it comes to choosing the best team, I'd like to think we did a great job. I will share the specific insights later on. We wanted to host an intimate wedding celebration, which is best suited to our relaxed personality. No fuss. No gimmicks. Just a day filled with love where our guests would enjoy each other's company. Let me take this moment to say a huge THANK YOU to our suppliers who went above and beyond to make our day extra special.

We were pampered by the hotel staff during our stay at Sofitel Manila from late complimentary check-out to special vegan meals during the wedding reception. I thought we'd end up eating salad and fruits since we already picked the menu way before turning vegans. That was a really sweet gesture. To Lois De Gracia of Epic Events Coordination who picked up the burden from our side, thank you for making our wedding day as seamless and smooth as possible. It's rare meeting someone who is pleasant and easy to talk to. She's really a breeze to work with. Also, shout out to some people who sent us wedding tips and suggestions! If you're looking for the best advice aka #realtalk, ask the married couples.

Let me share a short story. Philippines was about to be hit by a typhoon that weekend. Rain was our number one fear because nobody can control the weather. We were worried that we may not be able to push through with a garden setting. But on our wedding day, there was nothing. Not even a mere drizzle! Weather was cold and windy. I chose Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles for my bridal march (it's my fave song). Actually, I have another song for an indoor wedding  River Flows In You by Yiruma. Our officiating priest mentioned the sun showed up when the song started playing. We didn't really care about other wedding details marred by mess-ups or mistakes. Our wedding day was spared from scattered showers and for us, that was perfect enough.
