Travel: Discovering Paris on a Seine River Cruise

The waters of the Seine River have always been the heart of Paris. Even its river banks are protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the Eiffel Tower to Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, a bateaux cruise is the best way to discover what the City of Lights has to offer.

It's a fleeting feeling to take in all the soul-stirring highlights of Paris. We were navigating through the narrowed path between stone embankments, seeing barges as they chug along the historical river, admiring the old world charm while French music plays in the background. So cold yet so romantic during the autumn foliage! What an experience to capture Paris from an entirely different vantage point! I wonder how magical it would look like when Paris illuminates the night. Another reason to come back again. *wink* *wink*

Tip: Avoid the long queue by booking a cruise online then bring your printed tickets straight to the port. For an hour of sightseeing cruise, I personally chose Bateaux Parisiens that departs at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Admission costs €14 (58 AED) for adults and €6 (25 AED) for children aged 3-12 years. The boat is scheduled to leave every 30 minutes but you can come at your preferred time from 10 AM to 10 PM.
